These are gorgeous nappies - very absorbent and a super fit on my tall chubby legged ds, as well as looking beautiful! I love the way Lindsey recycles old materials to make something new and distinctive. And she is a pleasure to deal with - really obliging. They are a great price too! There is less velcro on them than on some velcro nappies which is good for us as it can irritate ds's tubby tummy, although it does mean that the nappy can sometimes come open - helped by ds! - more easily when not using a wrap over the top.
I have a phoenix nappy that I traded with Lindsey for a pile of surplus coloured bath towels - now how is that for super recycling and enterprising spirit!! I love this nappy, we use it mainly at night and it's fantastically absorbent - my OH once put it on with no wrap and in the morning her clothes weren't wet! I would recommend these nappies wholeheartedly - every stash should have one!
I bought my Phoenix nappy preloved and is made of brown cord. Mine only has minimal absorbent material but has a pocket to stuff with whatever I wish. As it's a generously sized nappy I stuff it with a large bamboo insert so it can be a bit bulky but very, very absorbent. One of my MIL's favourite nappies as she loves the fact that it was once a pair of trousers.
