I completely forgot about this nappy. My only experience was with a second hand model, which was falling to bits.
However it seemed ok on the absorbency front - for a 6 month old.
I wasn't keen on the fit round my skinny ds's legs, aplix has pros and cons, easy to fasten, very adjustable, easy for babies to learn to remove, very smelly.
So you take you choice.
The fold back tabs which covered the velcro were very innovative and simple.
Looks quite a cute nappy with quite a high rise so might suit a taller baby.
We had a medium I think
We had a small but I don't rate it I bought it along with some other small flannel nappies ,ds is a heavy wetter so it was never absorbant enough even boosted and the fit wasn't right either it never seemed tight enough around the legs and he had chunky legs.
We had a large which we bought when DD was about 18 months old. I have to say that these nappies are a great fit on the taller toddler, and DD always wanted to wear the Sam-I-Am in preference to any of her other nappies because, apparently, it was the most comfortable for her. It fitted her longer than most of her other nappies too.
I prefer a popper nappy myself as the little ones can't undo them so easily, but the Sam-I-Am worked well for us.
