I have couple of size 2s nippa nappies, which are not the same size, one is neater than the other.
I loved this nappy when I first got it, it dries fast, looks neat on, is super adjustable, and has excellent containment for bf poop. The absorbency is fine, ideal for a day nappy as fits under clothes.
Since weaning started though I am getting a bit fed up with the frilly legs, as all the poop gets stuck there and I really do have better things to do...
The elastic is super stretchy, but be careful, I find it pretty easy to fasten it too tight and it leaves red marks on ds's legs.
It isn't the easiest nappy to nippa, as the pile is short, so pull that nippa tight. However, this type of terry stays looking good for longer.
I found these difficult to fold, and also thought the concertina leg marks were not nice.
They are fast drying though and they still look quite white. I think they are good enough for a day nappy, but you have to watch your baby doesn't leg it while you are folding it. :)
I've used the size 2 velco as a night nappy from 4 months, I find them a bit bulky in the day (babe is still quite small though).
They dry really quickly and contain even bf poo at night.
I don't find the folding a prob at all, I find it's useful to put a flannel in between the layers for extra absorency at night.
I sold mine on in end as I found them tighter than a size two tots and had problems with marking but good design and well made and good absorbency quick to dry
I have a couple of these but don't like them as much as my Tots. The fabric seems rougher, the fit isn't as good as the Tots and although all the flaps are supposed to make them quick-drying, you still have to wait for the elasticated bits to dry so I don't really see the improvement over Tots tbh.
I found them a little narrow in the front didn't give my monster any tummy room and he outgrew the size 2 long before he outgrew his size 2 tots
I used these once and sold them on, great idea but I live in a hard water area and do not have a tumble drier, I found the fabric went like sandpaper! The leg edges were crinkly and pretty hard too.
Fiddly to fold, didn't contain anything, leaked, not absorbent enough, I hated it.
not very absorbent, much smaller than any other size 2 nappies, and took just as long as the others to dry because of the elasticated and overlapping bits.
When asked for his opinions of the nappies, this was the only one DH had a strong opinion on - 'don't like the flappy one, it's a faff to put on'.
Just started to test these (I have 2 nippa and 2 velcro). I don't find the folding too bad (takes about the same amount of time as stuffing a pocket nappy). I'm not sure that all the flaps aid drying that much (my bumble seems to dry just as fast). What I find is that the majority of the nappy dries quickly but there are patches within the folds that take just as long as my other terry nappies. Maybe once I get to hang this nappy on the washing line (terrible summer!) I will see the benefits of the flaps. Finally, I think the tabs (or wings - never sure of the technical name!) on the nippa version are a bit short. Longer tabs make using a nippa easier and make the nappy more adjustable as baby grows so this "fault" is annoying coming from such an established nappy manufacturer.
I had these in size 1 and found them very bulky between the legs on my son. My DH liked them best but that was mainly because they were velcro and my Tots needed nippas, bit beyond him really!
DS also grew out of these well before his other size 1 nappies. They only seemed to fit comfortably for a couple of months - by the time they were OK between the legs they were getting too short in the rise.
