This is my son at 12 months in a large, aqua Huggle, boosted with a small terry Tots Bots booster.
Our second model is 16 months old and is wearing a well-b00sted Rainbow Slinki Minki size large.

I love the appearance of these nappies and they keep my baby very dry, even when the inner part is soaking wet, his skin is lovely and dry. A bit bulky perhaps, even the slinky minky!
Didn't get on with our Thomas the tank engine minki size small. the flannel outer wicked.
Very reliable, you can put plenty of stuffing even in the slinki, no leaks and a good fit, but a little bulky.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Excellent containment. Very handy to use. I use a minki for night time and slinki during the day.
Look extremely cute as well
I used to have a couple of normal, not slinki minkis. They seemed pretty reliable, as long as they had a lot of stuffing material inside. We only had leaks occasionally, especially at nap time, something about lying down, my ds could get wee up the back?
The fleece outer type tends to get a bit ratty looking after a few washes, but still soft inside. I had a denim outer which stayed looking fab for ages.
I personally found them too bulky, by the time I had them stuffed to a point where I felt confident that they wouldn't leak, so not for me.
I love the look of the Minkis (I used Slinkis) DD was a very heavy wetter and the fleece inner really gripped the microcloth pads I use, keeping them securely in place and avoiding leaks. They did leak/wick if dd was sitting for long periods of time though (1hr) :( but most would I guess??
Love the fabrics but the sizing seems a bit off. I bought a standard large minki from ebay and ended up selling it without using it when it was still far far too big on my 34lb son. (The size range for a large is 18lbs - 40lbs)
I love my slinkis. I have not had a leak yet and they look gorgeous. A bit bulky under trousers maybe, but too nice to cover up anyway!
I do find the slinkis size up quite small though, my ds has outgrown his large at 27lb.
Sizing seems a bit odd. Came up very small on DD, had to give them away. Also, the way the velcro is put on (on the slinky minky at least) although there appears to be lots of adjustment, if you move it very slightly from the tightest setting the rough bit of the velcro is touching baby's skin. So they last no time at all.
I have two blue sheep minkis and I love them, so do my sons. My elder son who is out of nappies now used to specifically ask for his sheep nappy - which annoyed his dad who was still keen on disposables!
They are quite bulky, so I only tend to use them at night. Haven't tried slinki minkis yet.
The sizing on the standard minki was huge on my ds.
I wasn't particularly impressed with the standard compared to some other Wahm nappies, although Michaela was great to work with.
I have 4 minkis purchased 2nd hand off ebay and I love them! One is a bit tatty as it has a fleece uter but works well. The others are so cute and have a cotton? outer. I stuff them with some prefolds I tried out but dont like.
Sorry, I don't know exactly which Minki I have. Tried for 1 month with my 18m-old & 4yo (small for age) still in nappies at night.
Doesn't anyone else find it hard to stuff them without hurting your hands? My hands aren't esp. big, but getting the stuffing in there and spreading it out so nappy would fit baby well was difficult, the opening literally isn't big enough.
Cute nappy which otherwise seems well-made, but that small opening really annoyed me. Also didn't dry as fast as other pocket nappies due to terry outer.
Their large sizes up quite bulky compared to FuzziBunz or Nature Babies, too.
slinki minki - very cute but is a bit blky, saying that though i save it for when she can just wear a t shirt as its to pretty to cover up.
huggle - fab a really good night time nappy but it is absolutly huge. didnt take as long as i thought it would though.
Waffle- think this ones fairly new, its really absorbant and the suade linner is really soft but i found the leg elastic really harsh and the cuts really small fitting.l
we now have some more minki's and although I don't trust my cotton outer one very much I quite like my fleece outer one.
Appearance great, but way too bulky, even on a chunky baby and hemp stuffing. Not for us - we sold them on.
I adore my Huggles. They are really very absorbant, very cute too! However I agree with what peoplehave written about sizes, I have several, and they are often very different in size to eachother, even though they should be the same! Odd.
I love my huggles, i tried every type of nappy for night time with joy, either leaked or my dd felt wet and woke up, but not with the huggles the best night time nappy ever!!! even for heavy power wees.
I do however not like the finish of the nappies i have three and the pull out booster hem has come apart at the edge of all three and there is allways treads coming away from somewhere which is a shame
Love the fleece outers but velour wicks. All look fantastic though.
i tried these as a night nappy. they were very bulky and we got leaks. i wasn't that impressed
I bought three minki huggles for my little one. I asked for no pink, I received pink. I asked for poppers, two didn't have any fastenings on them at all (I assume for nippa?). I asked for small, I received two large and one small. The sizing is ridiculous, even the small is far too big to the point I can't see my little one ever growing into it.
I haven't even tried them but I give them nil points.
Could the poster above say where they bought the Huggles, was it direct from Minki or from a retailer?
This sounds like a problem in the ordering process.
To the above poster, it sounds like you experienced poor customer service but it doesn't seem fair to slate the nappy itself based on that?
My experience with Minki Huggles has been really good.
They are bulky, but I really don't care about this for night time usage.
They do the job they're meant to very well - A very reliable night nappy, have never had a leak with my heavy wetting toddler for 12 hours plus. They have a large pocket for additional boosting so you can customise absorbancy to suit.
They are fairly slow drying, but the flap out booster speeds things up, as does turning the nappy inside out to dry (the pocket is large enough to allow this!.
The cotton terry is good quality and really soft but I've found that if it's not tumble dried occasionally it can go a bit hard and matted.
I agree that the sizing is a little strange, although maybe this is because their sizes cover such a large weight range - most babies will only ever need small and large.
Huggles are reasonably priced for a good quality, reliable night nappy. They can be bought preloved for around a fiver which is brilliant value.
If you want a good value leak proof night nappy, and are willing to compromise on trimness and drying time then you can't do better than this nappy.
