used the small size we didn't get on with them ds weed down his legs, up his back you name it.
I am having big trouble with the new style Nature Babies Stuffable - whatever I stuff it with it seems to leak through the PUL and wick around the legs.
Maybe I just have a duff one?
These fit DD really badly. Had to get rid of them because the velcro from the waist was rubbing the tops of her legs. Also wicked around the legs if overly damp. Oddly, did not have the same problem with the NB wrap when using with prefolds. ???
I had an old-style one of these and really didn't get on with it. I occasionally use it as a spare wrap but I worry about it falling off tbh, the velcro tabs don't seem to stay stuck (and I have lots of other velro or Aplix nappies which are fine).
I love these as a daytime out and about nappy, quick and easy to change, comfy and reliable (when you get the stuffing right - must go to the edges) and my son looks dead cute in his tye die nappy!
The new shape stuffables are a great fit and I have had no trouble with them - an excellent nappy and no problems here - used the newborn/small and now onto size 2
Old-style stuffables, size large:
Agree about occasional wicking problems, don't really seem to last as long as they should. Didn't have much success stuffing them with terries. At least they are easy to stuff, though, and fit my average-size 18-19m old fine.
New Shape Stuffables - Medium
Found these to be absolutely great - no leaks here - I know some of the older ones were not such a good fit and the PUL is now the otherway round inside which has improved them no end - I've had no problems with the new ones at all .
not sure if it is new or old dtyle- got it in a trial pack from council- tried it 3 times and leaked pee everythime almost immediately!! Completely put me off pocket nappies
I have 9 of these: 3 that I use Ella's House hemp inserts with and 6 that I use 40x40cm terry squares in. Absorbency and bulk is about equal on these.
They're OK. I have to change them sooner rather than later, otherwise the edges wick onto my daughter's clothes.
My main gripe is that the poo gets caught by the leg gussets and it's not easy to get it off, due to all the folds in the gussets, by holding in the toilet and flushing. My daughter has mostly loose poos, though, so maybe it doesn't affect others as much.
And as a result there is sometimes poo smeared on her legs where the gussets have 'wicked'.
Have also become something of an origami expert to optimise the terry insert (fold twice to get a strip that goes edge-to-edge in the pocket, then turn down one end to make an extra thick 'stopper' at the front of the nappy and no terry at the very back where the opening is).
And finally, I don't really like the feeling of stuffing the nappy as the inside of the opening is quite narrow (which is a good thing from a fit point of view) and feels rubbery against the back of my hand.
We still use disposables overnight and when going out... I'm searching for a better cloth nappy!
you really should try the diddy diaper - lovely fit, really absorbent, plus the nature babies wraps are brilliant. I use the popper wraps, which also fit well over a terry square - I have seen the stuffables and wouldn't bother - can't even believe they are made by the same company!
I used the Stuffable for my 2nd son and loved them. The design has been updated twice since then & it's now a birth-to-potty. It's a very comfy fit, good containment & comes in applix or poppers. It dries really quickly too. Loads of prints or plain colours. I run the GRNP (Glos Real Nappy Project) and I get fantastic feedback from parents who are using this nappy. Like all pocket nappies, you do need to make sure that the stuffing fits from one side to the other, but that's ok and you get used to checking. I really love this nappy and I recommend it thoroughly.
I had 5 of the stuffable delux for my newborn. I struggled to get them to fit for the first month or so but once I had sussed how to get the stuffing right (used 2 mf cloths) I loved them. I also had a stuffable lite it fit better but the fabric didn't seem to be as waterproof it was harder to stuff because of the trim cut. Would like to try some of the new btp stuffables if I can find a bargain!
