Love woolwraps, I have two one is a handknit in the style of a pair of shorts, with a cord through the ribbed waist. I recommend this style, as the waist is really wide and can go over quite a big bum. They are very very cute and are worn alone in the house. I also have a big disana velcro wrap, it's ok, I find the fit a bit peculiar. It is only used at night and goes over big nappies like peeweez, but because of the shape has to be shoogled around to cover all.
I have tried disana pull on, but found it hard to get them over the nappy, even though they were the correct size by weight.

I like woolywraps...they are very clever and are good with just a t-shirt for summer sleeping. I only tried on the disana pull on once, bit tricky to get on so never invested.

I love Woollybacks! My DD has been wearing her large woollyback pull on wrap at night for 8 months and it still fits, no shrinking and looks fab. It really works, we get no leaks and her nappies really do seem drier in the mornings. Very easy to look after, I would not use PUL at night now.

I love Disana & Engel pull ons. great fittings & absorbancy! Also love fitted & velcroed & poppered Bumpy wool wrap, but these take a lot of effort to clean & look an awfuk colour after a while, even if clean. But I swear by them all. WOOL IS BEST!

I love wool and we tried lots, I didn't like the velcro ones 'cos they were too bulky and I never got a good fit round the legs with bumpy wraps plus they take ages to dry. I found that some of the wahm ones were either too thick and bulky or that they were itchy but Woollywraps are brill, my absolute favs, not bulky at all and lovely soft wool, Jenny the wahm who makes Woollywraps was really helpful too - thumbs up all round!!

I never got on with Wool wraps, there are supposed to be good for babies with eczema but it also seemed to itch and make my babies worse. Then you are supposed to treat them or something and I bought the wool shampoo or whatever it was called but sold it all before even bothering as I didn't find the kept the wee in and not washing it made it stink.

I love my disana and bumpy wool , my mum has made me a few too and they all work wonderfully, when I am careful not to put tightfitting pj bottoms on him.

Another YES for wool wraps, really lovely and gentle on baby's skin and keep their bottoms so cool too.

My favs are from www.woollywraps.com as they are lovely and soft and slim too. Longies (again mine are from Woollywraps) are excellent for day time as trousers and night time as pyjama bottoms.

Does anyone have a decent knitting pattern for a wool wrap? Want to try one, but too tight to shell out 20 quid as an experiment...

I love wool wraps too, they are perfect for nightime use when the fact that the wee evaporates quickly allows for a much drier nappy. I also feel it's good for the skin to breathe which they can throuigh the wraps.

I have wollywraps which I love, very soft and work very well. Puddlepants are amazing wraps, can even be put in the machine! They are extraordinarily slim, being felted wool rather than knitted, and I was suprised how well they work. I also have a wrap from Marchare.. another lovely wrap made from a jumper. I love the idea of re-using old clothes, and the Marchare ones are superb.

My favorites are probably stacinator wool wrap with poppers and popolini wool wrap with poppers, they are both slimmer fitting than the Disana wraps I have and they fit well and work well. Disana wool wraps well it works well but is just massive and the velcro seems really large too and is very stiff. Disana pull on is fine too but again large, the popolini pull on is slimmer fitting. They all seem to work well though but just like the fit of the popolini with poppers and stacinator.

I just wanted to add a comment about bumpy wool wraps.
I love these wraps and found them very trim fitting, although not felty enough for nights. I found that by placing a piece of felted wool (from an old wash-shrunk jersey} in between the two layers that make up the crotch, the absorbency was increased sufficiently for nights.
I think the sizing is quite tight, I put my below average height and weight DS into the X-Large when he was 16 months and it fitted then.
Because the wrap is very adjustable it is still very trim, even the large sizes. I think my advice might be to size 'up' when buying.

I use Aristocrats, shorts and longies, and they have been wonderful! Very easy to care for and not leaks!

I use wool wraps for night time on my baby boy -Bumby (Imse Vimse) wool wrap is great and another one from Finland -Igulee Igu*wool is absolutely great! http://www.igulee.fi -they take international orders too but the site is only in Finnish but the lady who makes them is very friendly so will help over the email! (She also makes the great CuddleBuns nappies which are B2P and come in gorgeous materials and covers!)

Has anyone used wool wraps in hot areas? I live in subtropical far north Australia and am worried, particularly about the felted type ones, sold by BabyBeehinds etc. Baby is due in Autumn too!
