Happy Hempy
These are a fleece lined (also come unfleece lined)pocket nappy which need a wrap but are a great night time nappy!! They can be stuffed with anything and it makes putting on a nappy which has to be boosted especially for night very easy on a wriggley Baby!!! My favorite night time nappy but also works well for the day
Just got mine, and it's very soft and looks adorable, will post a photo and review in the next couple of days...
I really like this nappy, it looks enormous in the waist, but still manages to fit ds's legs really well. He is at the bottom end of the sizing scale, so I'm impressed.
I don't find the rise too high, which I thought I would, so it might be worth checking if your baby is tall in the waist.
I am treating it like a cotton nappy, and not leaving it on too long until the absorbency increased (after 12 or so washes). However, it has been used successfully as a night nappy and last 12 -13 hours stuffed with a hemp booster and a couple of microfibre cloths.
It can be worn slim - with one booster during the day. And it looks cute in an unbleached way.
Very impressed with the fit and versatility of this nappy.
Now using the fleece lined Happy Hempy as a night nappy, as it is a little bulkier than the regular Happy Hempy, which can be worn for days.
It has a lovely soft fleece, and once stuffed looks like my ds is wearing a rubber ring, but the velcro is great for getting an exact fit.
It is very gentle on his legs and doesn't tend to leave red marks, and the absorbency is excellent. I use a couple of terry booster and a three layer hemp booster, plus often a small booster in the wrap. We tend to use wool at night and in the morning this lot is wet, but not too bad, and his bum is in excellent condition.
I think stuffing a night nappy keeps it simple, no separate booster to worry about.
Very strangely, I have one happy heiny that doesn't leak at all, and another one which leaks at the first little wee. Otherwise they look exactly the same. It kept me off buying any more though...
I like this the sizing is good cause we are in XL happy heinys this was perfect. I am finding it harder and harder to find nappies long in the rise that don't pinch at the legs. This is great though.
