I have a couple of imse vimse shaped, organic cotton nappies. They are quite fiddly to put on (but that's maybe because I don't use them all that often!).
However, they do make a good emergency nappy when my others are in the wash!
Hope this helps
Adrienne
Thanks Adrienne
I did a nappy swop and received an organic terry imse. I have read on nappy forums that they do not nipp well this is true. The nippa hangs on to the edging around the nappy and you cannot nippa the front lower part cause the label is there.
Fairly quick to dry, medium absorbency
I love imse vimses ... but you have to make sure you have a tight fitting wrap, and that you put the nappy inside the wrap when putting it on. You don't need pins or nippas, just fold the shaped bit round.
The terry ones hold more for nights.
With a bit of practise these definitely graduate from a "bottom of the bag" to a top of the pile....
The organic nappies will nipper but need to be washed loads beforehand, they will take at least 8 washes before a nipper works without pulling the fibres. THey are a lovely looking nappy, but I've not tried on a toddler and unsure how well they'd work but great on littlies!
I have aplix wraps and use them with imse but when I open the wrap the ends of the imse have strayed making the leg holes wider.
I've used these for both of mine & like them a lot more than I used to - they are the best truly birth to "beyond-potty" nappy, still fit my 15kg DD for her naps. They don't nippa - wrong shape anyway, and I find they work best with Rikki or Tots wrap. They are slim-fitting, so go down a wrap size compared to tots etc for best result. hth

These organic terries are my main nappy. I do love them, they dry quickly however oompah18 is right that they really need to be in a drier as they dry hard. They can be boosted, they contain leaks and are easy to use.
